In a move that shocked absolutely no one, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has come out swinging after his team’s disappointing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. With zero evidence but plenty of conviction, McDermott boldly accused Chiefs head coach Andy Reid of paying off referees to the tune of $500,000 to secure an unfair advantage.
“The refs were clearly biased,” McDermott declared, attempting to salvage some dignity after his team’s lackluster performance. “It’s just like what happened with the Chiefs and Texans. They probably have a whole sideline deal with these refs!”
When asked for actual proof, McDermott simply shrugged. “The evidence is everywhere—just watch the tape.”
Meanwhile, Reid, who seemed more amused than offended, brushed off the accusation with a laugh. “I’m worried about Sean,” he said. “Maybe he’s just tired. We’ll make sure he gets a good nap and some solid Gatorade. This game is tough on everyone, especially when you lose.”
This exchange follows similar allegations of referee bias in the Chiefs-Texans game. Could this be a new NFL trend? Time will tell, but McDermott’s next press conference might need less caffeine—and maybe a reality check.
