Some people are starting to wonder if President Joe Biden is purposefully throwing Vice President Kamala Harris under the bus because he is resentful of her replacing him on the Democrat presidential ticket.
The speculation began weeks ago when the president said that she was with him every step of the way and involved in policy decisions just as she began to start distancing herself from his unpopular policies.
And on Friday he did something that some people believed was even more blatant.
The vice president took the stage at a Michigan rally at 2:04 PM EST for a state that is a very important piece of her electoral puzzle and one that many experts believe is a โmust winโ if she has any chance of attaining the presidency.
The major news networks were covering her speech live when, a mere two minutes later, President Biden took to the White House briefing room for a press conference.
The networks quickly cut away from the vice president to cover the presidentโs first press conference in the briefing room since becoming president in 2020.
The president was there to speak about the ongoing relief efforts after the catastrophic Hurricane Helene as well as the ongoing tensions in the Middle East and the postponed port workers strike.
During the final question of the briefing, the president took a question from Washington Post reporter Toluse Olorunnipa and in his answer, he, again, tied the vice president to himself.
โMr. President.ย Thank you forโfor spending some time here with us.ย There have obviously been a number of crises that the country has been facing over the past several days with the hurricane, with the port strike, and with the situation in the Middle East.ย Can you talk about how your vice president, who is running for the presidency, has worked on these crises and what role she has played over the past several days?โ the reporter said.
โWell, sheโs โ Iโm in constant contact with her.ย Sheโs aware of where โ we all โ weโre singing from the same song sheet,โ the president said.
โWe โ she helped pass the l- โ all the laws that are being employed now.ย She was a major player in everything weโve done, including passage of legislation, which we were told we could never pass.ย And so, sheโs been โ and her โ her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things weโre doing,โ he said.

A brand new poll shows that former President Donald Trump ย is ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in five of the seven crucial swing states, which will be crucial in deciding who wins the election.
According to an AtlasIntel survey of likely voters in battleground states, Trump leads in Pennsylvania (51 percent to 48.1) and Michigan (50.6 percent to 47.2).
The former president is also in a โnarrowโ lead in the states that are in doubt: Arizona (49.8 percent to 48.6), Georgia (49.6 percent to 49), and Wisconsin (49.7 percent to 48.2). AtlasIntel provided this information. In Nevada (50.5 percent to 47.7) and North Carolina (50.5 percent to 48.1), Harris is ahead.
538 voters chose AtlasIntel as the most reliable polling organization for the 2020 presidential contest. If the Republican takes the five battleground states that he presently leads in their polling, with Harris at 248 Electoral College votes, Trump would win the 2024 election with 290 Electoral College votes.
Between September 20 and 25, AtlastIntel conducted polls, with a margin of error of two to three percentage points.
Reacting to the poll results, a Trump spokesperson toldย Newsweek: โAmericans are sick and tired of Kamala Harris and her failed policies that have led to skyrocketing inflation, an out-of-control border- and rampant crime that terrorizes communities. She is weak, failed, and dangerously liberal, and the American people know a fraud when they see one.โ
According to the AtlasIntel poll, Trump would prevail in two of Harrisโs most important โblue wallโ battleground states.
Barring any unexpected outcomes elsewhere, Harris only has to win the three blue wall swing states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan to receive the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the election.
