Renowned for his performance as Bobby “Bacala” Baccalieri on “The Sopranos, Steve Schirripa voiced worries about his appearance and voice causing typecasting as a mobster. Though first breaking in acting with “The Sopranos, Schirripa has successfully varied his roles, playing a suburban dad on “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and a detective on “Blue Bloods.”

He is appreciative of his 21-year acting career even though he admits his voice and body limit. Schirripa still plays mafia roles, as seen by his recent collaboration with Sir Kensington’s, in which he humorously defended a billboard. Apart from performing, he cohosts the “Speaking Sopranos” podcast with Michael Imperioli and co-authored “Woke Up This Morning, an oral history of “The Sopranos,” scheduled for November release.
